10 Weeks Old!

The most exciting thing going on here is the growth and development of Spencer. He's been smiling and laughing a TON lately, although of course I can't get him to do it for the camera. Stubborn, wonder where he gets that from? He's adjusting well to daycare and he's been on this great sleep schedule for a week now, so I really think he plans on sticking with it - at least for the time being.

And now, why you all visit this blog. The photo update:

Sleep Update :)

We got some solid sleep out of our little dude last night!! He went to bed at 8:30, woke up to eat at 2, and woke up at 6. That was it. I think he's on his way to sleeping through the night. Woo hoo!

Oh yeah, and happy valentine's day all our readers!

We HAD Sleep

OK, a lot's happened to us this week. We started daycare. The first day was miserable for both Mommy and Spencer. He was fussy, Mommy was worried. Not good.

The next day, he left early to get his shots, so daycare wasn't so bad. Spencer was a champ at the doctor's office. He weighed in at 12 lbs., 3 oz., and is 23 inches long. This means he's in the 70th % for weight and 50th % for height. So we have a chubby guy. His head is also in the 70th % - I guess he's got a lot of brains!

The shots went as well as could be expected. He turned the most terrible shade of red when the poked him, but it was over SO quick. He recovered fast as well. And spent most of the rest of the night sleeping. Spencer gave us the most magical night too. He slept from 9:30-3:30 without a peep. Ate at 3:30 and slept until 6:30 again without a peep. It was wonderful!

But it didn't last. Last night, we were back to the "up a few times in the night" routine. Poor guy. I'm sure he'll get the hang of it one of these days.

And, some fun pictures for you to enjoy:

Today we went with the whole family on the Willo Home Tour - where 11 people in a historic part of town open up their houses and let you poke around. I always love seeing how other people live, so it was quite fun! Spencer was carted around by Mommy in the Baby Bjorn (thank you, Kristi) and he had a pretty good time. The weather could have been better - we got a little wet - but everyone had a nice afternoon and the sun finally came out for a little while.

Tomorrow is Spencer's first day of day care. Mommy's been getting all the preparations he needs (there's not much, but she's nervous about it, so she just keeps doing STUFF). Thankfully, word is that another new baby starts tomorrow too. So, at least Mommy won't be the only mommy nervous and worried!

Then Tuesday we have Spencer's first round of shots. Seriously, could this week be any more nerve-wracking for Mommy?! Hopefully those will go smoothly...
